OP and Appointment Management Software

The out-patient department is where most hospitals feel the strain first — a long queue, several doctors, and a patient who needs a bill, a prescription and two tests before they leave.

TechMediz OP management software checks patients in doctor by doctor, so each consulting room sees only its own list. Billing and consulting happen against that check-in, and previous visit details are one click away when the patient is a repeat.

Prescriptions written in the consulting room reach the pharmacy counter directly, and lab test and scan requests are raised the same way. Appointment management is shared with the doctor module, which carries the appointment app itself.

Out-Patient Management — common questions

  1. Is there doctor appointment software patients can book from?

Yes. Patients book from the appointment app against a doctor's available slots, and the booking arrives in the same OP queue as a walk-in rather than in a separate diary somebody has to copy across at the start of the day.

  2. How does appointment management work in TechMediz?

Patients are checked in against a specific doctor, so each consulting room works from its own queue instead of one shared list. The doctor module adds the appointment app on top of that, and both read the same patient record.

  3. Can a doctor send a prescription straight to the pharmacy?

Yes. A prescription raised during the OP consultation is available to pharmacy sales management, so the counter is not re-keying a handwritten slip.

  4. Does OP management show a patient's earlier visits?

Previous visit details, diagnosis and pharmacy billing history are all visible from the current consultation, because they hang off the same UHID created at patient registration.
