Yes. File location tracking is the point of the module — the electronic record is maintained centrally while the physical file's current department is recorded as it moves.
How does ICD code search help?
Searching medical records by ICD code lets a hospital retrieve every case with a given diagnosis, which is what audits, follow-up studies and management reporting depend on. ICD-10 codes are applied at discharge in in-patient management.
Are lab and scan reports part of the medical record?
